Challenge
Leveraging technology to continue industry leadership
McKinley Irvin is the Pacific Northwest’s largest family law firm, with offices in Seattle, Everett, Bellevue, Tacoma, Puyallup, Vancouver, and Portland, and the company has been providing legal counsel to the region for more than two decades. The company approached Semaphore to design and build a Virtual Desktop environment that would scale as their organization grew, reduce its overall IT costs, and expand with minimal additional challenges. Additionally, the organization wanted to implement a companywide IP Telephony and Video solution, along with an upgrade to its audio visual system. The organization was truly looking for an “anytime, anyplace” solution for its team.
Solution
Lower costs, higher value through smart infrastructure
Semaphore began its engagement with McKinley Irvin by performing a network infrastructure assessment and evaluation of the organization’s goals for the use of the technologies on its roadmap. After the engineering team’s assessment, our initial solutions architecture was completed, and our logistics and structured cabling teams began work on the infrastructure that would support the final solution. Our teams rolled out a comprehensive suite of products from Cisco, VMWare, Extron, and Tegile to transform McKinley Irvin’s IT environment and position them for future growth. These technologies have enabled the firm to even more effectively provide the highest standard of divorce and family law representation in Washington and Oregon. What started as a project-based relationship has since bloomed into what we view as our team operating as a true extension of the McKinley Irvin IT team.
